History

Services were first held in the San Diego area in 1983. Initially, services were held in homes once a month and served by visiting ministers. By 1985, the frequency was increased to twice a month. In 1986 as the congregation grew, local brothers were placed in the ministry and the congregation begin meeting weekly at the Meadowbrook Middle School in Poway. A few years later, the congregation rented two suites in a small shopping center on Felicita Street in Escondido. Having outgrown this facility, in 1993, a two acre parcel was purchased on the on the west edge of Escondido, and construction began on a new facility in 1994. The church was completed and dedicated in early 1995 and the congregation continues to worship in this facility.

Through the years, additional brothers were placed in the ministry. In addition to regular Sunday services and mid-week services, the church supports bible distribution, local outreach projects, small group Bible studies, fostering relationship building, and other events throughout the year. Though a small group of around 40, we feel the love of Christ deeply in our church family, and are thankful for our inter-generational relationships of all ages, all for God's glory.
